I WANT MOUR ... Ron rates Jose as best
CRISTIANO RONALDO is back in Manchester but has bad news for Alex Ferguson and Roberto Mancini.
For Real Madrid’s star striker says the United and City bosses are second best compared to his Bernabeu chief Jose Mourinho.
Ronaldo insists the Special One will prove it by leading the Spanish giants to a record TENTH Champions League trophy.
The former United ace said: “Jose is the world’s best coach, he’s No 1.
“It’s so great to work with him because I’m a person who likes to win, compete — and who hates losing!”
That unquenchable will to win means Ronaldo, 27, has returned to the North West on a seek and destroy mission.
Seeking a second Champions League triumph of his own to go with the 2008 crown he won with United and, in the process, destroying megabucks City’s European bid for another year.
Ronaldo, who has hit 19 goals in 18 games this season, scored the winner in a dramatic clash between the sides at the Bernabeu back in September.
And he is in the mood to wreak havoc again as he and the Spanish champions go in search of even greater glory.
He added: “Everything is focused on winning the Champions League.
“You can feel it everywhere, even in the street because everyone knows we’re close to winning the club’s 10th European Cup.
“It’s my dream to win the Champions League again too. It’ll come this year or next year but we have to stay calm.”
Composure will be crucial at the Etihad tonight as the champions of England and Spain go head to head.
But Ronaldo could not resist having another dig, this time at English football and City’s multi-million pounds squad.
The Portugal ace said: “The Spanish league is the best in the world as the best teams and the best players are there.”
Ronaldo will not win many friends around Manchester with that attitude but he does not seem too bothered, saying he has little time for socialising anyway.
He added: “Football is a life in which you don’t have much time to do and enjoy other things.
“Practically everything revolves around football because my career, my life, is football.
“And if you want to be at a very high level, you have to be constantly at your peak.
“My own aim is to work the same as last season and score all the goals I can and try to win trophies.”
City, you have been warned.
