"It felt good to get a win tonight, absolutely. I definitely wanted to send this back to L.A. I feel confident with Zack (pitcher Zack Greinke) going in game five back home so I really just wanted to push it. I really wanted to win tonight definitely for a lot of reasons but obviously most important was just to give Zack a chance. But it felt good to prove Don (manager Don Mattingly) right I guess and get that opportunity."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Don Mattingly, LA Dodgers manager (On Clayton Kershaw):

"I'm actually really happy for him. I mean this kid is tremendous. Everything that you're supposed to be he is and I think to be able to see him do that tonight on short rest is a really good feeling for I know myself, but I think a lot of those guys in the clubhouse feel the same way. This guy is an animal the way he works. He represents us, the game of baseball, himself, I mean he really is a credit to the game. So you're really happy for him to be able to do that tonight."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Terry Collins, Mets manager (On Jacob deGrom pitching in game five):

"I mean we'll have a whole host of guys in the bullpen behind him. But he's had regular rest so that's a good sign, that's good for him. And you kind of feel real confident that he's pitched well out there, that he's going to go out and do it again. And, once again, this is the time when you need your guys to step up and you certainly think he'll do that."
