Surfer Jamie O'Brien tackles the Teahupo'o surf in Tahiti after being set on fire on Thursday (23rd July).

When surfer and just general prankster Jamie O'Brien reached out to his Instagram followers for a new challenge he may have regretted doing so.

The 32-year-old from Hawaii received calls to light himself on fire and surf some of the world's largest waves.

O'Brien took up the challenge here in Tahiti during the week and made it look quite effortless.

The stunt was filmed for his Red Bull television show - Who is JOB 5.0? - and judging by O'Brien's fearless nature you wouldn't bet against similar stunts.

"It was something new and it was something we could bring to our show. Who is JOB 5.0? That no one has ever seen. And it just leaves a mark in surfing. The first guy to get lit on fire while surfing? I think it's pretty cool."
