Drama in the Indian Ocean as Dongfeng Race Team make urgent repairs to their mast.

The team are fixing a detached mast track that threatens to hamper their chances in the second leg of the Volvo Ocean Race.

The track connects the 30 metre mast with the mainsail - it's crucial because it enables the crew to adjust the height of the mainsail during high winds.

SOUNDBITE: (English), Martin Stromberg:

"Track is coming off. The main track is coming off the mast, which creates a bit of a headache for us. We had a tap at the same place yesterday before, so it's a bit of a worry. It is nothing really pulling off the tracker but it's not a big worry but still we want to try and keep it in one piece."

In complete contrast some of the Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing team got to celebrate Thanksgiving, turkey burritos for them. And Team Alvimedica had some turkey jerky. A brief moment to relax as they sail from Cape Town to Abu Dhabi.
