SOUNDBITE: (English) Kelly Slater:
"I think without winning at least one of these next two (events), I don't think I can win the title. I don't know if anyone.... well, actually I, I lost, I won three events before and lost the title so.... I think I did that last year. Maybe the year before to, but, the position Gabriel (Medina) is in, he's had three wins, it's really his to lose and we all know that. He knows that. We know where we all stand right now."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Gabriel Medina:
"Yes, now there's two events to go and.... yes, I mean I started since Australia, I had a goal, so I want to reach my goal. But I'm trying, I'll try my best at these two last events and I will let the things happen."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Gabriel Medina:
"I have a big support here in Portugal. I think we're (Brazilians) pretty similar, we talk the same language, we eat the same food, so.... I have a huge support here in.... it's always fun to come here with family or friends, and to have all them by your side and supporting you. It's really important and.... seems like it's, just like days at home. So, makes me more comfortable."
