EDEN HAZARD has already been slated by both press and pundits alike for his poor display as Real Madrid were humiliated 3-0 against Paris Saint-Germain.

But the Belgian, signed from Chelsea in a £150million deal in the summer, has now felt the wrath of the fans who destroyed him in a series of hilarious memes.

French newspaper L'Equipe, who are notoriously brutal with its player ratings, handed the 28-year-old a measly TWO out of ten.

In the BT Sport studio, Rio Ferdinand piled more misery on Hazard as he questioned the former Chelsea talisman's attitude.
While his sentiments were echoed by Glenn Hoddle who expressed his fears that the winger might have arrived at the club at the wrong time.

And fans have been bemused by Hazard's difficult start to his Spanish career after such a dominant spell in England.

Rival supporters revelled in comparing the two through a spate of memes, with the Belgium captain representing Aquaman, a dragon from Game of Thrones, and an adult lion while in Chelsea colours.

But when Hazard pulled on the Los Blancos strip, he was reduced to a battered street football, a crudely drawn stick-horse, and a baby Tyrannosaurus rex.

Wednesday's 3-0 defeat at Parc des Princes was the winger's first start since costing Madrid an initial £115million in the summer.

Injury niggles delayed his full bow and he had only first appeared off the bench against Levante on the weekend.

And there was a clear lack of sharpness in Hazard's play as he drifted in and out of the game.

Commenting after the game, Peter Crouch said the forward was struggling because he's no longer the "man man" while Rio Ferdinand felt he and Gareth Bale needed to rotate across the pitch more.

The former Manchester United defender told BT Sport: "When you go to a new club, especially the size of Real Madrid, you have to earn the right to be the man who gets all the ball.

"He's got to do something in the training games, in the actual games that he plays.

"I'm fearful for him that he's gone there at the wrong time.

"This is a team that's ageing, they're not on their way up, they've not got much spark about them at the moment.

"That is going to affect him and reflect badly on him in the long term."
