Man City Fan Calls For Pep Guardiola To Be Sacked And Says He's Failed At Etihad After Defeat By Norwich

A furious Manchester City fan called BBC Five Live to demand Pep Guardiola be sacked after defeat at Norwich.

The supporter called Nigel insisted that the Premier League champions are "regressing" and that Guardiola has "lost the players" after the 3-2 loss at Carrow Road - their first defeat in nine months.

BBC hosts Chris Sutton and Alistair Bruce-Ball were left gobsmacked and wondering whether the fan was on a wind-up.

Guardiola has guided Manchester City to back to back Premier League titles with 100 and 98 points in the last two campaigns, and won the domestic treble last season.

But this City fan Nigel said he has been a failure at the Etihad and that Liverpool have already won the Premier League title given they have a five-point lead after five games.

And he even called for Reds boss Jurgen Klopp to replace Guardiola as City boss.

The fan said: "We're five games in and five points behind Liverpool already. Pep Guardiola came in here to make a dynasty - where is that dynasty?

"He is only regressing. He came here to win the Champions League and ever since we lost to Tottenham he is regressing.

"You can say he won the league but ever since then it's been a regression rather than a progression.

"He went to Bayern Munich to win the Champions League and to Man City to win the Champions League, has he achieved that? No.

"Klopp will get the players working. He's obviously lost the players.

"It's OK when you've get Messi playing for you."

When asked if he was calling for Pep to leave, he responded: "Yes! Yes! We're regressing. We're five points behind after five games. I'm absolutely livid."

Pressed on whether he thinks Man City's title race is over, Nigel said: "At this moment yes because of how good Liverpool are playing, that's how it's going to end up."

And when asked what Guardiola can do to turn it around, the fan hit back: "Leave because it's not going to get better. We're already five points behind Liverpool."

At this point the hosts were convinced he was "in the boozer", and when they asked Nigel how City intended to lure Klopp from Liverpool, he said: "What does money do? Money talks. When you offer a good amount of money, what happens?"
