EDEN HAZARD was unveiled in front of 50,000 Real Madrid fans - and then set his sights on becoming the best player in the world.

Hazard completed his £150m transfer from Chelsea after passing a medical and signing a five-year contract.

And the Belgium star – who insisted he is not yet a Galactico – then insisted it would be easier for him to win the Balon d’Or in Spain.

Hazard said: "I aim to be the best player in the world's best team. I had a lot of success at Chelsea and I want to win lots in Madrid. This is a new challenge and I want to succeed. It's a different level.

"I’m not a Galactico, not yet. I hope to be one day. Despite everything I’ve done, I start from zero. I’m not a Galactico, I'm Eden Hazard. Just a very good player.”

Asked whether it is easier to win the Ballon d'Or playing for real than Chelsea, he added: "It's easier, but it's not my main objective, that is to win with the club, although it's in the back of my head."

The former FWA Footballer of the Year, who won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, League Cup and two Europa Leagues at Chelsea, also claimed his best is yet to come.

He said: “There is always room for improvement, I'm sure. Being here will help me do that. "I can bring experience, goals and assists, and I hope to be another of the leaders.

"I want to win many titles with Real Madrid, in this shirt. This was my dream since I was a child. I wanted to play for Real Madrid, and now I’m here.”

Hazard was given a rapturous welcome by fans who had queued for hours to see him as he did keepy-uppies on the pitch, posed for selfies, and threw balls into the crowd.

He is expected to get Cristiano Ronaldo’s former No 7 shirt – but joked he had asked current Balon d’Or winner Luka Modric for his No 10 jersey.

Hazard said: “We had a laugh. I was joking when I asked him to lend me the number 10. He said no, so I’ll have to find another number.”
