REAL MADRID are ready to freeze out Gareth Bale and dump him in the U23s unless he finds a new club.
Bernabeu top brass are furious after the star’s agent claimed he is happy to ‘see out’ his contract.
And Bale’s rep Jonathan Barnett also told Premier League clubs Bale will “cost you a lot of money”.
It comes just days after the Welsh superstar, 29, was told he is not wanted by boss Zinedine Zidane.
The Spaniards are contacting teams in Europe and China to see if they want Bale, even on loan.
Real bosses could also pay part of his £500,000-a-week-plus wages — if he moves permanently.
They are questioning his desire to play football if it is clear he is not going to feature under Zidane.
But agent Barnett said: “I’m not sure Mr Zidane wants him to stay but, at the moment, Gareth wants to stay.
“He’ll happily see out his contract until 2022.”
That has infuriated Real bosses as they prepare for a “huge summer” of comings and goings.
A Real source told SunSport: “There are people who give nothing to the team’s soul and ethos.
“They will not remain here under Zidane. This summer will be one of the busiest in the club’s recent history.”
