MOHAMED SALAH has been accused of killing a pigeon during Liverpool’s 5-0 thrashing of Huddersfield.

Liverpool made a dream start to the match when Naby Keita netted inside 15 seconds.

Saido Mane then added a second before Salah took his seasonal tally up to 20 with a third on the stroke of half-time.

The Red came out for the second period with the same intensity and desire.

However, before the fourth goal hit the ball of the net, a pigeon was spotted lay lifeless in the Huddersfield penalty area.

Supporters on social media claim a wayward Salah shot struck down the bird.

Blustery conditions at Anfield made flying difficult and the pigeon was the victim of a freak accident.

“Salah's shot deflected off the pigeon #LIVHUD RIP,” one supporter wrote.

And another added: “Did Salah kill a pigeon? Whats that on the floor.”

A further user said: “Can’t believe Salah hit that bird!”

Meanwhile, the pigeon was removed from the pitch and Salah and Mane finished the 5-0 route.

Liverpool leapfrogged Manchester City to the top of the Premier League table with the win.

And manager Jurgen Klopp is delighted with his team’s efforts this campaign.

"91 points. Wow, that's crazy,” he said.

“It's only possible because the boys play like they do, the attitude they have.

“You cannot ask for luck or destiny, you have to work for it.

“We said we want to write our own history, that's what we're doing. The boys are outstanding.”
