MANCHESTER UNITED stopper David de Gea was spotted out with his fiancee three days removed from his gaffe against Barcelona.

De Gea, 28, went out for lunch with his partner Edurne Garcia Almagro in Cheshire as the pair then jumped in the keeper's £160,000 Aston Martin.

The Spaniard's lunch date comes on the same week he let a right-footed Lionel Messi shot painfully roll under his body during United’s Champions League defeat at the Nou Camp.

Messi scored twice, while ex-Liverpool man Philippe Coutinho also put one past De Gea as the La Liga champions progressed through to the semi-final where they meet Liverpool.

SunSport revealed a distraught De Gea apologised to his United team-mates after his mistake put the Reds two down in Spain, killing off their chances of progressing into the last four.

De Gea said sorry at full-time in the dressing room and even claimed his team could have won the tie had it not been for his error.

He cut a sad figure as he trudged off at full-time. And while nobody was blaming him amongst the team, De Gea was obviously blaming himself.

United’s No1 is still to commit his future to United, with a new five-year deal on the table waiting to be signed.

The prospect of no Champions League football next season may make his mind up over a potential move.

Real Madrid are still keen on the former Atletico man, who is now in his eighth season at Old Trafford.
