Real Madrid not happy with the attitude or decisions of Solari and his players

The directors at Real Madrid are not at all happy with the 2-2 draw the team had away at Villarreal on Thursday night, with this sharing of the spoils coming after several other setbacks towards the end of 2018.

The players and coaches have been reminded that the conformism shown in the second half against the Yellow Submarine cannot happen.

It has been explained that there must be an improvement in the attitude, behaviour and, in particular, the performance on the pitch.

It's not enough to appear at certain moments and those in charge at the club have not been impressed by certain attitudes or decisions of players and coaches.

There is, though, time to rectify the situation.

This draw won't change the club's short-term planning, with Brahim Diaz expected to be the first and the only January reinforcement.

Although there are some saying they'd like a ready-made striker to arrive, there is no intention to alter the makeup of the squad any further.

When it comes to transfer talk, these dicsussions are focussed on those who could come in the summer.

That's partly because there are some who would be impossible to bring in January, such as Eden Hazard.

Of the current players, Karim Benzema is playing well, although his offering isn't enough on its own.

With Gareth Bale once again sidelined by injury, with Mariano often injured too and with Vinicius not being used too much, the No.9 has become the only attacking reference.

Solari has worked out what his ideal line-up is, but injuries and a lack of attitude at certain moments have hindered him.

There are some players, like Marcelo, who aren't physically or mentally prepared to compete for the 90 minutes of a match, but he seems untouchable, something that doesn't happen with Luka Modric or Toni Kroos.

Solari knows his team messed up away at Villarreal and that he wasn't able to help his side see the game out.

While it's true that Lucas Vazquez missed a big chance and that Marcelo was absent at the back, the coach must also accept the fact that he was unable to provide his team with what they needed in the second half.
