DONE DEAL

West Ham have completed the signing of former Arsenal and Manchester City playmaker Samir Nasri.

Nasty has put pen to paper on a short-term deal until the end of the season, with an option to extend.

He said: "You choose a club and a project because of the ambition, and I think that West Ham has everything to be one of the biggest clubs in London, for sure.

"I mean, 60,000 people every game at home. We play in the Olympic Stadium. The training ground is there and you have owners who wants to invest and have a good team. Everything is there to be doing great things

"Coming back to the most competitive league in the world, with a team full of ambition with a manager that I know. It's the best job in the world, and I'm really excited about it."

Arsenal eye Barcelona ace

Arsenal fancy swooping for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez in the January transfer window.

Suarez, 24, has been linked with a move away from the Nou Camp next month.

He has been restricted to six appearances in all competitions and could seek an exit.

According to BBC Sport reporter David Ornstein, Suarez is being considered by Emirates Stadium chiefs.

Any move for the Barcelona is likely to be on loan, however.

Ornstein says Arsenal head coach Unai Emery only has a 'modest budget' to work with in January.

DONE DEAL

Huddersfield winger Rajiv Van La Parra has completed his loan move to Middlesbrough.

Van La Parra will officially join Boro on January 1 when the transfer window opens and will stay with the Sky Bet Championship promotion-chasers until the end of the season, both clubs announced.

"Rajiv is 27 and understandably wants to play regular football, which is not something I can offer him at Huddersfield right now," Terriers boss David Wagner told Huddersfield's official website.

"We wish him the best of luck at Middlesbrough for the rest of the season."

Van La Parra will be the second player to depart Huddersfield during the January transfer window following Ramadan Sobhi's loan move back to former club Al Ahly, which was confirmed last week.

Huddersfield signed Van La Parra for an undisclosed fee from Wolves in the summer of 2016 following an initial loan spell and his contract at the John Smith's Stadium is scheduled to expire in 2020.

The former Holland Under-21 international has scored seven goals in 97 appearances in all competitions for the Terriers, but has made just just five Premier League starts this season and has not featured since October.

DONE DEAL

West Brom have confirmed the loan signing of Everton defender Mason Holgate until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old's transfer will be formalised when the January window opens tomorrow.

Baggies boss Darren Moore is thrilled to bring in the former England Under-21 international - at the second time of trying.

He said: "I tried to bring Mason into the squad in the summer but at that stage Everton were not willing to release him.

"I watched him play against Salomon Rondon in the goalless draw at The Hawthorns last season and I thought he was outstanding. I want to get our business done as early as possible and this is a good start - I'm grateful to get him into the squad now.

Merson's Barkley prediction

Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley could benefit should Eden Hazard leave the club at the end of this season, according to Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson.

Merson says he believes that Barkley's understanding of the game is a big contributor to his improvements.

"He's a good player and Chelsea have a lot of games coming up in the new year," Merson told Sky Sports.

"I don't see Eden Hazard being there next season, and Barkley may be one of those that has to step up. I think the older he gets, the better he'll get.

"He's definitely improved as a player, and I think he'll improve again. I've always been a fan of his, but didn't think he understood the game as much as he does now.

"He took too many touches, but now knows when to release the ball. He has learned very quickly."

Banega to Arsenal

Arsenal target Ever Banega is 'settled' at Sevilla - but the Spanish club are still worried he will leave, according to reports in Spain.

The midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent months after the arrival of Unai Emery in the summer.

According to Seville-based newspaper Estadio Deportivo, the player is settled in Spain and does not want to see a repeat of the misery he suffered in Italy with Inter Milan.

But the publication claim Sevilla are still worried a deal could go through due to Arsenal's 'economic power'.

The La Liga side believe that the Gunners could force Banega's hand by meeting his £20m transfer valuation and paying him a much higher weekly wage.

Chelsea agreement

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Christian Pulisic, according to German newspaper BILD.

However, the Blues will have to wait until the summer for the talented winger to switch clubs.

Pulisic's current contract runs until 2020 but it seems Dortmund are ready to cash in on the American with Chelsea his next destination.

Liverpool and Manchester United have also been chasing the winger's services in recent months.

Liverpool striker medical

Dominic Solanke has completed a medical ahead of a loan move to Crystal Palace, according to the Daily Mail.

The Eagles have seen off competition from Bournemouth, Brighton, Huddersfield and Rangers for the 21-year-old striker.

Roy Hodgson is ready to give Solanke the first-team football he craves.

"We make no bones of the fact we are looking for someone to lead our line and score some goals for us," the Crystal Palace boss said.

"We are linked with various players.

"I believe the chairman today has confirmed that there is some truth in the reports, and in my opinion it would be good if we could land a player of his class."

Man Utd's Manolas pursuit

Manchester United are continuing their pursuit of Roma defender Kostas Manolas with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the lookout for a defender.

Reports in Italy claim the Red Devils have been actively scouting the Greece international and they have 'expressed an interest'.

Manolas has a release clause of around €36m (£32.5m) in his current contract with the Italian club.

Tutto Mercato Web claim the centre-back has failed to agree a new contract extension with Roma meaning United could take advantage of the situation next month.

Ramsey revelation

Aaron Ramsey's contract offer was withdrawn because Unai Emery didn't think it would be value for money.

That's the view of German football journalist Raphael Honigstein who thinks Arsenal boss Unai Emery is trying to assert himself on the club.

On Sunday Supplement, Honigstein said: "Whenever he [Ozil] has not been played it's because the manager didn't fancy him for whatever game.

"That still begs the question, why isn't he in the squad at all? Is a message being sent? Is Emery actually trying to push him out?

"What you have to say about Emery, and this also goes for the Ramsey story where Arsenal initially made an offer, my understanding, and it was turned down and Emery said, 'you know what for that kind of money that they want I don't think we have to keep him'.

"So, he seems very determined to be very interventionist when it comes to building this team."
