The Gunners arrived in China ahead of the match up against Bayern Munich as part of the International Champions Cup.

Wednesday's game will be played in the 57,000-capacity Shanghai stadium and with the heat-wave set to continue, the players set straight to work to acclimatise.

Arsene Wenger had his team preparing at the Yuanshen Stadium to continue their pre-season training after a brief trip to Australia.

After training, the team were snapped cooling off in a converted wheelie bin ice bath.

The £52 million striker Alexandre Lacazette was seen waiting for his turn to take the plunge as he joined his new team-mates on the trip.

Also in attendance was Mesut Ozil who is still waiting to sign a new contract with the team as speculation of his future there grows.

The Arsenal players stepped out of the sun to attend an Arsenal fan party at a the Manderin Oriental Hotel in Shanghai where some young fans got the chance to meet the stars.

Also scheduled on their trip is a meeting with London rivals Chelsea in Beijing on Saturday.

Lacazette, who moved to Arsenal from Lyon for £52million this summer, scored on this Arsenal debut in their 2-0 won over Sydney FC last week.

Arsenal also beat Western Sydney Wanderers 3-1 on their short tour of Australia.

The heat-wave has taken over Beijing too, so Arsenal will hope their wheelie bins can also make the trip.
