Should Yaya Toure have been sent off for this foul on Emre Can?

Man City and Liverpool played out a frantic first half at the Etihad.
Both teams had plenty of opportunities to score with Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp urging their troops to attack at pace.
One key talking point was Yaya Toure's challenge on Emre Can after 21 minutes.
The powerful Ivorian clattered his German counterpart and the follow through saw Toure's boot make contact with Can's shoulder.
Take a look...
Replays showed it was a dangerous tackle and while Toure appeared to make an effort to soften the impact there can be little doubt that Can could have been badly injured.
Referee Michael Oliver showed just a yellow card to the amazement of fans watching at home...
Toure should be sent off. Absolutely ridiculous. #LIVERPOOL

Oliver was in the spotlight several times throughout the game with both sides appealing for penalties at regular intervals.
