According to the Daily Mail, Juve are set to lose Paul Pogba to Manchester United for a new world record fee of more than £100m.
And they claim the Italian giants are preparing to target Matic as the Frenchman's replacement in Turin.
The 27-year-old apparently tops Massimiliano Allegri's transfer wish-list which also includes Newcastle's Moussa Sissoko.
Matic played a key role in Chelsea's Premier League-winning campaign of 2014/15.
However the Serbia international failed to reach similar heights as the Blues played out an awful defence of their title last season.
But Antonio Conte is reportedly keen to hold on to the midfielder, despite the recent arrival of N'Golo Kante from Leicester.
Chelsea are also said to still be wary of letting Matic leave Stamford Bridge for a second time.
They sold him to Benfica for just £2.5m in 2011, before Jose Mourinho re-signed the player in a £21m deal during his second spell in west London.
Matic and Mourinho have been linked with an Old Trafford reunion this summer, although United are seemingly prioritising a mega-money move for Pogba.
