Hammers land Gokhan Tore on loan

West Ham United have announced the signing of Turkey international winger Gokhan Tore from Super Lig champions Besiktas.

Tore, who was part of Chelsea's youth side between 2009 and 2011, joins the Hammers on a season-long loan deal for an initial fee of £2.5million – with the option to make his stay permanent at the end of the campaign for a fee of £10million.

The move sees the 24-year-old reunited with manager Slaven Bilic. who previously coached him during during their time together at the Black Eagles.

"I am very happy to be at West Ham. I watched many games that they played last season and saw how passionate the fans are," he told the club's official website. "That made me want to come here and I am looking forward to playing in front of them.

"Slaven was also a big factor in me coming here and he is a great manager.  He is the main man and knows me very well. I could not have said no to him.

"He is the best manager I have worked under and he is like a father to the players. You feel like you are family."

In his three seasons with Besiktas, Tore scored 19 goals and registered 28 assists in 111 first-team appearances.
