DAVID Beckham has struck up a friendship with The Rock over a shared love for Taylor Swift songs.

They can't get enough of the pop babe's sound and listen to her albums when they spend time together.

Wrestling star The Rock, real name Dwayne Johnson, says their favourite track is Shake It Off – the worldwide smash famed for its cheesy dance moves.

He said: "I probably shouldn't say this but we both love the music of Taylor Swift or, as us real fans call her, 'Tay Tay'.

"It doesn't matter how bad LA traffic gets, if you've got Shake It Off blasting out the radio there ain't nothing that is going to bring your mood down."

Becks, 40, and Johnson, 43, have known each other for years and often catch up at showbiz events in LA.

And in recent months they have become firm friends. Johnson has now publicly backed his pal's plan to launch his own football club in the States.

His team Miami Beckham United is expected to enter Major League Soccer as a franchise in 2018 after years of planning.

The Rock said: "Miami is an important place for me – it's one of the biggest sporting cities in the US and I will always welcome any new sport franchises in the city.

"I am so glad it's David Beckham behind the MLS franchise for Miami. If anybody can make a success of it then it's going to be David."

It emerged last week that former England captain Beckham is seeking financial backing from a shareholder of Paris Saint-Germain.

Difficulties finding a stadium put his plans at risk but Becks hopes the project is back on track.

There have even been suggestions the former Man United star will revive his playing career in China after he was made a global football ambassador for the country.
