Man Utd will sell Fellaini amid Anderson talks

Manchester United are reportedly willing to sell Marouane Fellaini for £24million, while talks to sign Felipe Anderson are apparently ongoing.

Fellaini has been linked with four Serie A sides, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and Roma, but United are said to have already rejected a loan offer from Milan to sign him on loan this month.

The Red Devils are, however, prepared to sell the Belgium midfielder, according to the Sunday Mirror – providing they can recoup most of the £27.5million they paid to sign him from Everton in 2013.

The newspaper says Milan are struggling to raise significant transfer cash after a plan that would see Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol buy 47 per cent of the club hit the buffers, but they are still hoping to generate cash by the end of the month.

Fellain himself is said to be agitating for a move away from Old Trafford to protect his place in Belgium’s squad for this summer’s European Championships.

The Daily Star Sunday, meanwhile, claims talks are ongoing with Lazio over Anderson.

United have proposed a £30million deal with a further £5million in add-ons for the attacking midfielder, it is said, but Lazio are looking for more, with Anderson entitled to five per cent of the transfer fee.

One move that appears certain to happen is that of Ben Pearson to Preston North End, with the Mail on Sunday claiming the England Under-20 midfielder is set to complete a £100,000 transfer to Deepdale.

Preston boss Simon Grayson is also said to have asked to take Nick Powell on loan from United but faces competition from Nottingham Forest, Wolves and Brighton.
