Pochettino hails Spurs character

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino praised the attitude of his side after they came from a goal down to beat Manchester City 4-1 on Saturday.
The result was controversial given that three of the fives goals scored at White Hart Lane should have been ruled out for offside.
Kevin De Bruyne's opener, Eric Dier's equaliser and Harry Kane's effort were all questionable decisions, but along with goals from Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela, made for a highly entertaining Premier League encounter.
Pochettino was delighted to see Spurs bounce back from their Capital One Cup defeat to fierce north London rivals Arsenal in midweek and hailed the character on display from his young players against their more experienced opponents.
"It's never easy to play against a team like City and I'm pleased with the effort of the players and pleased for the supporters, especially after the disappointment of Wednesday. They deserve this type of victory," the Argentine said in his post-match interview.
"We are a very young squad but the players showed fantastic character and personality and that's important.
"We have big potential and we can improve because we're very young, but we have to keep working hard and concentrating on our jobs every day.
"We will take it step by step, game by game and we have to keep our feet on the grass. We know this is the way."
