CHELSEA midfielder Mario Pasalic is set to join Monaco on loan to secure a move for Manchester United flop Radamel Falcao.
Pasalic, who joined Chelsea in 2014 but spent last season on loan at La Liga outfit Elche, travelled to Ligue 1 club on Thursday to undergo a medical.
The Premier League champions are close to sealing a move for 29-year-old Falcao, and Pasalic will head in the opposite direction as part of the deal.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is confident he is the man who can get Falcao firing again.
"It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United," Mourinho said last month.
"If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it."
