RADAMEL FALCAO has told Manchester United he will leave them at the end of the season.
The Colombian flop wants to go back to Monaco following a woeful loan spell in which he has scored just four goals in 22 appearances.
His former agent recently claimed that Falcao has been reduced to tears by his treatment, which includes being made to play for United's under-21 side at a half-empty Old Trafford.
United still have the option to sign him for £43m at the end of the season. But Starsport understands he has taken the decision out of their hands by telling them he has no intention of staying.
HEADING OFF: Radamel Falcao looks set to leave Man Utd in the summer
"I think any footballer needs to play and is happy playing," he said yesterday.
"When the championship ends surely I'll sit down, do an analysis and decide what's best for me.
"Obviously I need to find a place where I have continuity and can play."
