Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia made a glaring mistake during last night's 2-1 FA Cup exit at the hands of Arsenal.

The Ecuadorian international, filling in at right back, mis-hit a backpass which Danny Welbeck ran onto, to score the winner for Arsenal.

Apart from his costly mistake, Antonio Valencia was undoubtedly one of Manchester United's better performers in Monday night's FA Cup defeat.

He took to Instagram after the game to apologise to his teammates and the Manchester United fans he let down.

Now aged 29, Valencia has enjoyed a fair amount of playing time under Louis Van Gaal but may see Rafael reclaim his spot at right back when Manchester United host Tottenham on Sunday.

There is only one target left this season at Manchester United - Finish in the top 4!
