Manchester United have not yet made a decision on Radamel Falcao's future, talkSPORT understands.
The Colombian striker has failed to live up to expectations since his arrival on a season-long loan from Monaco last summer.
Falcao, 29, regarded as one the most feared strikers in world football just a few seasons ago, has scored just four goals in 16 appearances for the Red Devils.
His disappointing form has led to claims that United have already informed Monaco that they will not take up their £43m option to buy the ex-Atletico Madrid forward in the summer.
However, Old Trafford insiders have told talkSPORT that no decision has been made on whether to sign Falcao permanently, and Louis van Gaal will rule on the player's future at the end of the season.
