Arsenal are set to sign Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw after Polish club confirms agreement
Arsenal are on the verge of completing their first signing of the January transfer window after the north London club agreed a deal to sign Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw.
The transfer, which is believed to be worth around £2m, is subject to a medical.
The Polish club confirmed the news via their official Twitter feed on Thursday afternoon.
The highly-rated 17-year-old holding midfielder is set to fly out to London on Friday for a medical and to discuss personal terms with the north London club.
The Legia Warsaw starlet last week underlined his intention to push through a move to Emirates Stadium during the current transfer window.
"I've made a decision [to join Arsenal] and I'm not going to change it," Bielik said.
The news of the imminent signing comes after Arsenal were dealt a significant injury blow on Thursday.
Mathieu Debuchy and Mikel Arteta are both expected to be out of action for around three months after undergoing shoulder and ankle surgery respectively.
