Bony to complete Man City move 'in the next few days', reveals agent

Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony is likely to complete a big-money move to Manchester City "in the next few days", according to the player's agent.

The 26-year-old has been with the Welsh outfit since making a club-record £14million move from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem in 2013.

But the Swans have struggled to keep potential suitors away from their prize asset, with his fine goalscoring form – netting 34 goals in 70 appearances – attracting the likes of City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham over the past few months.

Just seven weeks ago Bony extended his deal with Swansea until 2018, but the Ivory Coast international is now close to leaving for the Etihad Stadium.

It's expected the Premier League champions will have to fork out around £30million for the striker, and – in an interview alongside Bony – his agent, Francis Kacou, revealed the move will soon be finalised.

"It's about some small details about money but I think things will go all right in a few days," Kacou told Sky Sports News.

"Talks are going on and we are waiting but I really hope things will happen soon."

"I will fly with him to Abu Dhabi and let's see what will happen."

Bony has yet to have a medical with City but for the time being talks remain ongoing, and the forward, who is jetting off to Abu Dhabi ahead of the African Nations Cup, is excited by the prospect of Champions League football and what a move to City would bring.

"It is going well," Bony said. "The discussion is still on. I am now going to join my national team so I am just focused on that."

"Every player wants to play Champions League, World Cups. It is the wish of every player."

"When you get the opportunity... sometimes good ones, sometimes not, but I am just taking it step by step."

"I am focusing on my national team and wait to see the news like you."

Reports suggest he will pen a four-and-a-half-year deal worth £100,000 per week, with the striker eligible for Manuel Pellegrini's side in both the Champions League and FA Cup.
