Manchester United sign former Barcelona goalkeeper Valdes

Manchester United have signed former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

The 32-year-old has agreed a 18-month deal at Old Trafford, having trained with the Premier League giants for the last three months.

Valdes has proved his fitness, having suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in March, while with the La Liga giants.

It's understood the Spaniard's arrival will spell the end for Anders Lindegaard, who has been linked with a move to Norwegian club Molde.
