NICK Clegg yesterday told rapist footballer Ched Evans to “play abroad”.

The Deputy PM said the shamed star should not be allowed to play for Sheffield United again after he began training with his former club this week.
Mr Clegg urged club chiefs to “think long and hard” before taking the Welsh striker back, adding he would be better off leaving Britain.
The Sheffield Hallam MP, a United fan, ramped up the debate after three club patrons quit in anger over Evans’s comeback.
Speaking on his LBC radio show, Mr Clegg said: “Left entirely to me, I wouldn’t let him train.
"Maybe he could play for a club abroad for a while before coming back.”
Evans was sentenced to five years in April 2012 for raping a 19-year-old girl in a hotel room.
He had his contract torn up by League One United but maintains his innocence and is having a second appeal fast-tracked.
TV presenter Charlie Webster, 32, singer Dave Berry, 73, and businesswoman Lindsay Graham have all quit their roles with Sheffield United Community Foundation.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for actor Sean Bean, 55, said he would not be stepping down as a club patron.
