CHELSEA are looking at pulling off an audacious double swoop for Real Madrid pair Luka Modric and Raphael Varane.
BLUES TARGET: Luka Modric is a summer transfer target for Chelsea
The Champions League winners are reportedly poised to make a £27m bid for Blues midfielder Ramires, a player boss Jose Mourinho will only consider selling if he can get Modric in return.
The former Tottenham star is a long-term target for Stamford Bridge chiefs, who are hoping they tempt the La Liga giants into doing a deal.
Another target for the club is Real centre-back Varane.
Chelsea have been reportedly interested in the 21-year-old ever since agreeing a £42m deal with French side PSG for Brazil international David Luiz.
The Champions League finalist is seen as a player who can take up the mantle of Luiz at Chelsea, but is not the only option available.
Eliaquim Mangala is another player Mourinho believes could help mould his team into Premier League winners for the 2014/15 campaign.
