Hamilton FC vs Alloa Athletic preview - Duo back for Accies

Championship leaders Hamilton expect to have Ziggy Gordon and Stephen Hendrie available to face visitors Alloa.

The duo have returned to training despite picking up ankle knocks in their last outing against Dundee.

Jonathan Routledge continues to be unavailable to player-manager Alex Neil due to a knee problem, with the New Douglas Park manager well informed about his visitors.

Neil explained: "I have watched Alloa's last two games and have been impressed. They have done well for a newly promoted side and have already gathered a good points total.

"They also gave us our first defeat of the season so we know that we are in for a difficult game."

Alloa boss Paul Hartley returns to the club where he began his football career for the first time as a manager and is without midfielder Iain Flannigan who has a back injury.

Andy Kirk is a slight doubt after picking up a knock against Dumbarton in midweek with Hartley saying: "I am looking forward to facing Hamilton, but I know that they are a very good side and it will be a tough game for us.

"I am pleased with our form ahead of the game as we battled hard to beat Stirling in a great Cup tie last weekend and then played some good stuff to get a point at Dumbarton."
