Pep: "Playing like we did against Gladbach won't win us the title"

Pep Guardiola has warned his players that they need to improve on their game in the opening match of the Bundesliga if they are to defend their title.
"If we play at the level we did against Gladbach, we won't win the title. I'm sure we'll improve, but we need time. I have to find the perfect balance between attack and defence. If we don't manage that, there's only one person to blame: me," he declared.
The manager announced that Götze will make the squad for this Saturday's clash with Eintracht Frankfurt: "Mario Götze will make his debut in the squad. He's very intelligent and if he's fit, then he has got a good chance of playing."
"I can't yet say whether the Bundesliga should serve as an example for the Spanish league. All I know is that the Spanish league has always fascinated me. The atmosphere, the fans… everything is spectacular," said Pep.
"My kids are starting school next week and I hope to be able to enjoy a bit of Munich. I haven't had time to see anything yet," he remarked.
"We're preparing for the European Super Cup as well as we can, but we have three games before then and they are more important at the moment. But the final is important as well, because the club has never won it."
