Spanish Super Cup brings more chaos

Barcelona plays Atletico Madrid for the first title of the season on the 28th August in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup. However, unless something changes, the chaos of last season when Barca met Real Madrid in the Camp Nou will be repeated.
On that occasion nobody met the cost of extending the timetable of the Barcelona metro system and thousands of fans paid the price. Exactly the same mistake is likely this year as the game has been scheduled for an 11pm kick off and will finish just before 1am, if extra time and penalty shoot out are avoided, when chaos will ensue on the city streets.
Barcelona Mayor, Xavier Trias, has made himself clear on the matter: "We will not be spending the extra money; we will not be responsible for that cost. Everyone cannot just do what they want here".
Last year there were numerous complaints when the game ended and thousands of people were left with a long walk home, and now it looks like history will be repeating itself next week.
