Class act: Stefan Kiessling wants to show his talents in the Premier League
Chelsea have been offered a cut-price deal for Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling as the German international plots a summer move to the Premier League.
Kiessling is determined to force a transfer away from Leverkusen at the end of the season and after seeing a dream switch to West Ham break down in January, he is said to have gone all-out to make sure he gets a move to England for the start of the next campaign.
According to reports in Germany, Kiessling has urged his agent to offer his services around Premier League clubs, and Chelsea are among the first, with the 29-year-old especially keen to play in London.
The Blues are on the lookout for a new striker to do battle with Fernando Torres and Demba Ba, and 6’3 powerhouse Kiessling would offer a very different alternative to their current options.
Power: Kiessling is a monster in the air
Kiessling, who has scored 119 goals in 339 matches, has been at Leverkusen for seven years and has told friends he wants a new challenge for next season.
It is thought that Leverkusen are also keen to go in a new direction and would accept £6million.
Dynamo Kiev and Leverkusen’s Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with moves for Kiessling in the last few days.
