Manchester City shelled out around £32m to bring Robinho to Eastlands from Real Madrid. But his time in the north-east didn't begin well, when a slip of the tongue gave the impression he thought he had signed for Chelsea. And things didn't get much better. Persistent reports that he was unhappy and some erratic performances saw him sent out on loan to Brazilian side Santos in January. For the past year he's looked below par, but whenever he pulls on the yellow Brazil shirt, he returns to his best. Expect nothing less in South Africa.
