Manchester United hero Rio Ferdinand has kept in shape throughout his retirement from football, regularly sharing workout clips from home
Manchester United fans want to see Rio Ferdinand back in their defence after showing off his ripped physique.
The Englishman spent 12 seasons with the Red Devils, making more than 450 appearances.
And he helped United to six Premier League titles and a Champions League honour.
Since retiring in 2015, the 41-year-old has made a career in punditry as well as a brief spell training to be a professional boxer.
Despite failing to secure a fighting license, Ferdinand has stayed in shape outside of football.
In his latest Instagram snap, the Englishman can be seen listing two bars with weights on them.
And the former defender is carrying them across his gardens.
Ferdinand’s biceps bulge as he moves the heavy weight across the grass.
The post has been liked more than 65,000 times since it was shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday.
"Morning workout complete,” the United legend said.
And the Red Devils faithful were blown away by their former player’s figure.

"You are a beast,” one supporter said.
Another commented: “He’s a tank.”
While a third suggested he could still do a job at Old Trafford.
"Man Utd would still sign you,” they said.
And it led United fans to say he would still get into the Red Devils' defence
And a fourth added: “You could still play.
A fifth even claimed he could form a partnership, with: “Imagine you and Harry Maguire in that defensive line.”
With a sixth writing: “Still fit for Man Utd.”
And another simply saying: “You can play again, sheriff.”

It comes as Ferdinand took a dig at famous Arsenal fan Piers Morgan over his club’s Europa League exit.
He wrote on Twitter: “Are u ok @piersmorgan?”. The former centre-back then added: “#TearsForPiers” and “#Arsenal”.
But former rivals Manchester City were not spared taunting from the Red Devils hero.
"When you speak to City fans, well, there aren't that many around..." he said on BT Sport.
