Arsenal React To Liverpool Losing Their Unbeaten Run Against Watford

Arsenal were quick to react to Liverpool's unbeaten run coming to an end this evening after the Reds suffered a shock 3-0 defeat to Watford.
A brace from Ismaila Sarr and Troy Deeney in a stunning second half performance for the Hornets inflicted Liverpool's first defeat in the league for 44 games and ensured Arsenal are the only side to have gone the whole season unbeaten in the Premier League.
Back in 2003/04, Arsene Wenger's side won 26 and drew 12 on their way to accruing 90 points and lifting an unprecedented gold Premier League trophy.
They avoided defeat for 49 games in total before Manchester United ended the superb run with a 2-0 win through goals from Ruud van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney.
And after tonight's shock result, the Gunners wasted no time in reacting. At first there was a sigh of relief from whoever was manning the club's social media accounts, before a cheeky congratulations message was issued.

We still are... and remain unbeaten! 😉

There was talk of Jurgen Klopp's side receiving a special gold Premier League trophy if they were able to win a first league title for 30 years without losing a single game.
And while they are still very good value to win the title in record-breaking fashion, the European champions tasted defeat for the first time since the 2-1 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on January 2019.
Tonight's loss also means the Reds missed out on the chance to set the record for the longest winning run in Premier League history, with Liverpool and City both tied on 18 victories.
