Dempsey and Burns pushing for starting spots as Fleetwood face Bristol Rovers

Kyle Dempsey and Wes Burns are both targeting a return to Fleetwood’s starting line-up for their home game against Bristol Rovers.
Both players came off the bench to score in the 3-2 Boxing Day win at Rochdale, with Dempsey shrugging off a minor foot injury.
Fleetwood boss Joey Barton expects to pick from a fully-fit squad with the exception of Jordan Rossiter, who is ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Conor McAleny is also looking to start as Barton’s side look to move back into the play-off places.
Jonson Clarke-Harris is set to keep his place in the Bristol Rovers starting line-up.
Clarke-Harris was substituted towards the end of the Boxing Day defeat to Wimbledon but new boss Ben Garner revealed it was a precautionary measure.
Garner could make a number of changes as he searches for his first win as Rovers’ new boss.
Defender Mark Little is pushing to return from injury while Tareiq Holmes-Dennis is also working his way back to full fitness.
