No fresh injury concerns for Oldham ahead of Salford showdown

Oldham have no new injury worries for the clash with local rivals Salford at Boundary Park.
Boss Dino Maamria was delighted by his team’s performance in their 2-1 Boxing Day success at Morecambe, the first time this season that the Latics have produced successive wins.
After Oldham had moved to a season-high Sky Bet League Two position of 17th, Maamria said he is a manager who “likes to give players a run of games”.
Jean-Louis Akpa-Akpro or Scott Wilson will be considered if the Latics play an extra attacker, but defender Jamie Stott and veteran midfielder David Jones are expected to be unavailable again.
Salford could be unchanged after beating Crewe for a first home league win since October 12.
Richie Towell was a Boxing Day doubt after picking up a knock in training, but the Irish midfielder scored his fourth goal of the season in that 3-1 victory and played the full 90 minutes.
Young forward Brandon Thomas-Asante could also get another start after scoring his first league goal against Crewe.
Danny Whitehead and Lois Maynard are options should Ammies manager Graham Alexander decide to bolster his midfield.
