Crewe waiting on Green fitness following illness

Crewe midfielder Paul Green hopes to recover from illness in time for the home game against Scunthorpe.
Green missed the Boxing Day defeat at Salford but could return to the squad, while leading goalscorer Chris Porter (hamstring) could also be back in contention.
Defender Eddie Nolan (back) will be assessed so Christian Mbulu, who started at Salford, is on stand-by.
Centre-half Olly Lancashire (Achilles), left-back Rio Adebisi (ankle) and forward Lewis Reilly (knee) are still out.
Scunthorpe will monitor Jake Eastwood and Matthew Lund, who both hope to return to action.
Rory Watson will resume in goal if Eastwood fails to recover from a groin injury, while Lund missed the home defeat to Walsall on Boxing Day through illness.
Defender Kgosi Ntlhe is a major doubt as he waits to learn the full extent of a hamstring injury sustained in training.
Midfielder Yann Songo’o will be sidelined for six weeks after damaging medial knee ligaments in last week’s win at Grimsby.
