Top scorer Jonson Clarke-Harris could start as new Bristol Rovers boss Ben Garner takes charge for the first time at home to AFC Wimbledon.
Clarke-Harris, who has scored 10 goals this season, managed 25 minutes from the bench against Peterborough on Saturday following a calf problem.
Tareiq Holmes-Dennis is also working his way back to full fitness, while Abu Ogogo and defender Mark Little should also return at some point over the festive programme.
Garner, the 39-year-old former West Brom assistant manager, takes over at the Memorial Ground with Rovers fourth in Sky Bet League One.
Wimbledon are three points clear of the relegation zone after losing for the first time in four games at Tranmere last time out.
Dons boss Glyn Hodges could make some changes on Boxing Day after bemoaning the lack of a cutting edge in the 1-0 defeat at Prenton Park.
Anthony Hartigan and Tom Wood are both pressing for starting spots after impressing as substitutes in an improved second-half display at Tranmere.
Kwesi Appiah, Michael Folivi, Will Nightingale and Reuben Collins remain sidelined.
