Leyton Orient come from behind to beat Walsall

Leyton Orient came from behind to record their first league win at home since the opening day of the season as they ran out 3-1 winners over Walsall.

The visitors went ahead after 21 minutes when Zak Jules crossed from the left but O’s keeper Dean Brill could only parry the ball and Stuart Sinclair seized the opportunity to scramble the ball across the line.

Orient were back on level terms after 48 minutes when full-back Joe Widdowson drilled a 20-yard shot into the net to claim only the second league goal of his career.

Then on the hour, Craig Clay won the ball and set-up Matt Harrold who converted the simplest of chances to put the Londoners in front from close range.

Conor Wilkinson made it 3-1 after 75 minutes when he steered the ball into the corner of the net after collecting a pass from James Brophy.

However Wilkinson’s afternoon turned sour five minutes later when he was red-carded for violent conduct after an altercation with Walsall’s Dan Scarr, who saw yellow.
