Posh leave it late to edge out Lincoln

Late strikes from Louis Reed and leading scorer Ivan Toney saw Peterborough run out 2-0 winners over Lincoln in a scoreline that flattered the hosts.
In a game that the visitors dominated at times, midfielder Reed hit an unstoppable strike into the roof of the net with eight minutes to go before Toney’s neat lob wrapped things up five minutes later.
Reed was sent off at the death after receiving a second yellow card for bringing down Jake Hesketh.
Lincoln’s Tyler Walker had the best chance of the first half after connecting with Bruno Andrade’s cross, but Christy Pym was on hand to deny the striker from point-blank range.
After the break Toney’s shove on Michael O’Connor almost immediately from the kick-off ended the Lincoln midfielder’s afternoon following lengthy treatment on the pitch.
He was replaced by Tom Pett, whose misplaced pass saw Siriki Dembele break free and fire goalwards, with the ball falling kindly for Reed who lashed home from 20 yards.
Moments later a ball over the top from Niall Mason found Toney, who applied an expert finish.
