Ten-man Accrington battle back for draw at Bristol Rovers

Accrington Stanley battled with 10 men for most of the second half to earn a 3-3 League One draw at Bristol Rovers.
The home side took a fourth-minute lead when Ollie Clarke’s cross-shot was tapped in by Alex Rodman. But Stanley were level on 18 minutes, Jordan Clark bursting into the box to net with a low angled drive.
Two minutes later Sam Finley broke into the Rovers penalty area to shoot home right-footed and it was 2-2 on 41 minutes as Jonson Clarke-Harris fired in from 15 yards after Clarke’s shot had ricocheted into his path.
Stanley were reduced to 10 men on 49 minutes when Seamus Conneely was shown a second yellow card for pulling back Tom Nichols.
Clarke-Harris’ produced a spectacular overhead kick to put Rovers in front on 63 minutes only for Dion Charles to equalise with a 77th-minute penalty after being fouled by Josh Hare.
Referee Neil Hair took a blow in the face near the end and had to be replaced by linesman Andrew Laver. Kyle Bennett hit the bat for Rovers during nine minutes of stoppage time.
