James Norwood will bid to add to his four goals in three games when Ipswich host Shrewsbury on Saturday.
The 28-year-old summer recruit from Forest Green has hit the ground running, but is itching to build on that fine start.
Freddie Shears is still sidelined with long-term knee trouble however.
But the forward is stepping up his rehabilitation with a view to a playing return in November.
Fejiri Okenabirhie will miss out for Shrewsbury due to a hamstring injury.
The striker has added to boss Sam Ricketts’ injury worries, handing the Shrews manager another selection headache.
Sean Goss remains doubtful with an ankle injury, though Josh Laurent and Dave Edwards could return.
Romain Vincelot is still battling a hip problem, with Ollie Norburn (knee) and Ro-Shaun Williams (hamstring) back in light training.
