Mansfield Town vs Stevenage FC - Injury-ravaged Mansfield prepare for Stevenage test
Posted Friday, August 23, 2019 by PA
Mansfield have a number of injury concerns ahead of the visit of Sky Bet League Two rivals Stevenage.
The Stags slipped to a 3-2 home loss to Leyton Orient in midweek having conceded a last-gasp goal.
Striker Nicky Maynard injured his hamstring in the defeat and Hayden White suffered a leg injury which means both are missing this weekend.
Full-back Kellan Gordon is a doubt with a back problem and both Dion Donohue and Jacob Mellis have been suspended by the following an alleged serious breach of discipline.
Stevenage boss Dino Maamria will be hoping to hand a debut to new signing Charlie Lakin.
The 20-year-old midfielder has joined on loan from Birmingham for the remainder of the season and could feature at Field Mill.
Boro have taken just one point from their opening four games and were without injured defensive partnership Scott Cuthbert and Terence Vancooten for Tuesday’s defeat to Bradford.
Meanwhile, summer signings Tyler Denton and Paul Digby are still waiting to make their debuts.
