Harry Pickering is facing a race against time to be fit to face Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.
The 20-year-old left-back suffered severe bruising during a challenge in the 2-1 win at Crawley last week.
Oliver Finney replaced him and could deputise again but Nicky Hunt could also come in at left back.
Olly Lancashire returned from suspension against Newport on Saturday and should feature again.
Villa are expected to make wholesale changes from their 2-0 Premier League win over Everton on Friday.
Ezri Konsa could be handed a debut after his summer move from Brentford.
Jed Steer, Henri Lansbury, Ahmed Elmohamady and Conor Hourihane are all likely to start as manager Dean Smith rotates his squad.
James Chester (hamstring) is out and Jonathan Kodjia (ankle) is unlikely to be risked.
