Vassell set to start for Bluebirds in Hatters cup clash

Isaac Vassell is in line to make his first Cardiff start against former club Luton.
Vassell, who almost rejoined Luton before moving to Cardiff from Birmingham on transfer deadline day, was a substitute when the two clubs met in the league earlier this month and scored the winner.
Joe Day could take over in goal from Alex Smithies for the Carabao Cup tie, and Curtis Nelson, Will Vaulks and Junior Hoilett are expected to feature for a much-changed Bluebirds side.
Neil Etheridge, Matthew Connolly and Marlon Pack are ruled out and Callum Paterson and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing might not be risked.
Hatters boss Graeme Jones will make changes after Luton’s first Sky Bet Championship win of the season at Barnsley.
Brendan Galloway, Lloyd Jones, Izzy Brown and Elliot Lee are all set for starts.
Regular goalkeeper Simon Sluga could be rested so James Shea, who played in the first-round win over Ipswich, can make his second appearance of the season.
Dan Potts (groin) and Callum McManaman (hamstring) remain doubts and James Bree will be checked after being forced off late on at Oakwell.
