Koscielny problem
Laurent Koscielny leaving Arsenal could put a huge dent into the Gunners’ transfer plans, claims Sky Sports News reporter Mark McAdam.
The Gunners announced on Thursday that Koscielny has refused to travel with the squad for the pre-season trip to the USA.
And McAdam says Koscielny leaving would mean Arsenal need to sign two centre-backs which would restrict what money they have to spend elsewhere.
"This is a huge blow,” McAdam said. “You just look at it and think ‘how will this affect the dynamic of their transfer plans?’.
"Suddenly they might not just have to buy one centre-half, they might have to buy two.
"Then how does that affect Zaha and all the deals?
"This is a real sort of blow to them.
"I think this is going to be huge for Arsenal.”
