The north London outfit are ready to splash the cash once again after going 518 days without spending a penny on transfers before Jack Clarke's arrival this week.

Tottenham's acquisition of the 18-year-old, who has been loaned back to Leeds for another season, was the first time a player has signed permanently since Lucas Moura back in January 2018.

The reason for Spurs' transfer hiatus was due to the fact a new, state of the art stadium was in the process of being built.

And according to the Daily Mail, eight players could be offloaded this summer to finance the venue - and to fund Pochettino's desire for fresh blood.

England international Danny Rose is the surprise name at the top of the list.

The left-back has been linked with a move back up north in the past and recently hinted he could leave Spurs over the summer.

Kieran Trippier will also be shipped out, with Napoli and Juventus reportedly interested.

The Daily Mail report Serge Aurier, Victor Wanyama, Vincent Janssen, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Josh Onomah and Marcus Edwards are others who will be allowed to leave.

Who are Spurs planning to sell this summer?

Spurs don't expect to sell all players named on the list.

But Daniel Levy wants to raise as much as he can before investing in more new additions in the coming weeks.

Tottenham may also lose Christian Eriksen this summer as Real Madrid chase the attacking midfielder.

The Dane has one year left on his contract and has reportedly been house-hunting in Madrid, according to the Times.

"I feel that I am at a stage of my career where I would like to try something new," he told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet recently.

"I have the deepest respect for everything that is happening at Tottenham and it would not be something negative to stay.

"But I have also said that I would like to try something new.

"I hope that something will be decided this summer. That is the plan."
