Raul completes Madrid marathon and finishes in under three hours for first time

Former Real Madrid striker Raul has completed the Madrid marathon in a personal best of two hours, 59 minutes and 25 seconds.
This was only the 41-year-old's second ever marathon having raced his first in New York three years ago in a time of three hours, 26 minutes and five seconds.
The current world record for the marathon is two hours, eight minutes and 18 seconds set by Kenyan Reuben Kerio while the record Spanish time to complete the Madrid marathon is held by Javi Guerra at two hours, 10 minutes and 19 seconds.
Raul is currently coaching the Juvenil B side at Real Madrid and is in the final stages of taking his UEFA Pro Licence.
